Achasta is a Jack Nicklaus golf course community located in the north Georgia mountains near the gold mining community of Dahlonega. Rochester & Associates was involved in the project from its inception, providing the initial boundary surveys of the 1,200 acre site to assisting the client in annexing the property into the City and obtaining the proper zoning and permitting by the City of Dahlonega, the Georgia Department of Natural Resources and the Corps of Engineers. The land plan prepared by our landscape architects includes the 200 acre golf course, a commercial village and 500 residences. The various uses are buffered by natural areas and connected by both a road system and a pedestrian trail system. The construction documents included the design of the water, storm sewer and sanitary sewer systems.
